Unlocking modules with a workspace booking
Some courses open one module at a time, and each one is opened by a day spent at a RAiN workspace. If you booked a desk, the training is free.
Opening a module
On the course page you’ll see the modules you’ve opened, and the
next one with a lock on it. Under it there’s a box for your workspace
booking code — the RW- code you tap into the check-in tablet.
Check in at the workspace first, then enter the code. The module opens straight away and stays open for good.
You don’t have to be at the workspace to read a module — only to open one.
The rules, briefly
- One module per day, however long your booking is.
- In order. The next module opens once the one before it is finished — every lesson read, and the quiet quiz passed if there is one.
- Finishing early doesn’t open the next one. That happens on your next visit.
- What you’ve opened, you keep.
What the messages mean
“We can’t see you at the workspace today.” Your code is fine — we just have no check-in for it today. Tap it on the tablet at the desk, then come back to this page. This is the most common one, and it usually means you entered the code before checking in.
“We couldn’t match that code to a workspace visit.” Check
it against your confirmation. Codes never contain the letters O or I, or the
digits 0 and 1, so they can’t be misread. You can leave off the RW- if
you like. This message also appears for a booking that was cancelled, refunded,
or not paid for yet — if you believe yours is none of those, reception can look
it up.
“You’ve already opened a module today.” One a day is the rule. Your next day at the workspace opens the next module. If you have several courses on the go, the day is spent across all of them — not one each.
“Finish [module] first.” The sequence is strict. Complete the module you already have — lessons and quiz — and your next visit opens the one after it. Nothing is wasted in the meantime.
“That code is already linked to another RAiN account.” The first account to use a booking code keeps it. If that was a colleague, or you signed up twice by mistake, reception can unlink it.
“You’re not enrolled in this course yet.” Enrol first — it’s free and takes one click on the course page.
“This course doesn’t need a code.” That course is open all at once. Just carry on.
A module you opened has locked again
This happens when the booking that opened it was refunded, cancelled, or the check-in was undone. Your progress is safe — the lessons you read stay read, and the module reopens with your ticks intact.

If you’d rather not book a desk, these courses can be bought outright, with every module open from the start. You still work through them in order.
