RAiN AI Studio

Term Meaning
AI Team Your agents and the work you've given them — what a project in the Studio contains.
Agent One worker with a role, a goal, a model and a set of tools. It performs the steps you join it to.
Sequence The order the work happens in, and what happens when things differ. One per project.
Canvas The drag-and-drop surface where you lay out agents and steps and join them up.
Trigger What starts a run: a call from the client's system, or a clock. The one thing on the canvas with no way in.
Schedule A trigger's rule, written in words — daily 09:00, weekdays 17:30 — and the timezone it means them in.
Catch-up Whether a firing missed while we were down should still happen. On for chasing unpaid fees; off for a 5pm summary.
Step One thing that happens in a Sequence. Four kinds: task, action, condition, agents route.
Task A step where an agent is given the goal and works out how. Uses a model.
Action A step that runs one tool with the arguments you typed. No model, no tokens.
Condition A step that asks one question and sends the run one of two ways.
Agents Route A step with as many named exits as the work has kinds, sending each to the specialist who handles it.
Otherwise An Agents Route's final exit, taken by anything matching none of the others. Always present.
Supervisor An agent joined to an Agents Route, whose role frames the decision about where work goes.
Tool Something an agent can use — a calculator, a web search, a database lookup.
Integration A tool that reaches one of your own systems: WhatsApp, Paystack, your database.
Knowledge Documents and notes you upload so agents can answer from your material, citing the file.
Run One execution of a Sequence, start to finish.
Trace The step-by-step record of a run — what each step produced, and why each decision went the way it did.
Endpoint The address a client's own system calls to run your Sequence, with a key you issue to them.
Project key The token that lets one outside system call one project. Shown once; only a fingerprint is kept.
BYOK Bring your own key: connecting your own model or tool account instead of using RAiN's.
